Gender Equity

The Gender Equity Working Group is composed of gender equity specialists who strive to empower women by offering them equal opportunities in Russia and the US. To promote gender equity in both countries, the Working Group seeks to address the issue of violence against women by identifying and sharing best practices and lessons learned. The Working Group also promotes equal access to safety, health, and well-being resources for women. Finally, it provides training, develops concrete approaches, and identifies positive role models for women’s equality in the workplace.

In the past, the Gender Equity Working Group has focused on the issue of gender-based violence, working with experts from an array of NGOs to initiate a shift in attitudes towards gender-based violence and to ensure gender equality and safety on a local level.
