On Monday, June 5, 2017, SEE had the opportunity to present about the Disabilities Partnership Platform (DPP) at the Stimson Center in Washington, DC. In the audience was a delegation of international fellows of the ADA Anniversary Inclusive Education Fellowship Program. Hailing from Armenia, India, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, the fellows had come to the United States to exchange best practices in developing inclusive education, visiting University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration and Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College & School of Social Work in the process.
Two days later, SEE hosted the ADA Anniversary fellows in Eurasia Foundation’s Washington, DC headquarters. The fellows presented their ambitious projects, and joined SEE staff in a dynamic discussion about accessibility and inclusivity regarding disabilities and education. Passionate about expanding opportunities for international collaboration, the fellows represent the diverse, globally-oriented future of the Disabilities Partnership Platform.
