Rule of Law and the Community

The Rule of Law and the Community Working Group addresses a variety of rule of law challenges by sharing best practices and identifying possibilities for the public to engage in legal processes in both countries. The Working Group also seeks to expand access to adequate and affordable legal assistance and to empower individuals with disabilities or chronic disease by addressing issues of access to public health.

Previously, the Working Group devoted its efforts to a project assessing the applicability of public oversight models currently used in Russia and the US and members collectively identified opportunities for improvement, which they presented at various public events.
